September Meeting: NancyFx with Colin Scott

This Thursday I won't be at TechEd on the gold coast. Instead I will be learning all about NancyFx with Colin Scott at the .NET User Group.

Nancy is a simple yet powerful DSL for HTTP based services designed to be low friction, low ceremony and easily customisable. Designed to follow the "super-duper-happy-path" Nancy allows you to quickly build APIs and host them just about anywhere, including in ASP.NET, WCF and self hosting inside your application. This makes it a great option for providing an API for your app.

This presentation will show how easy it is to build an HTTP service in Nancy and provide different hosts to suit your needs by combining it with popular frameworks like TopShelf.

What: NancyFx with Colin Scott
When: Thursday September 5th, 5:30pm - 7pm
Where: Enex 100 Seminar Room, Level 3, 100 St Georges Terrace, Perth
Cost: Free! All welcome.

Colin is famous on the internet for his hilarious stream of twitter abuse (NOTE: may not actually be hilarious) and did not send me a bio so you'll have to ask him who he is on the night!

Please bring this up at your stand-up tomorrow. Claim that thinking about how awesome it's going to be is blocking you from fixing the build and invite your colleagues along.
